Frequently Asked Questions

Does Massage Therapy Hurt?

I personalize each massage to my client’s preferences. A massage can use lighter pressure designed to keep you in a more relaxed state, or deeper techniques, which can at times be painful, in order to properly work the muscle tissue.

I will always lighten the pressure if you feel it is too intense. All techniques, no matter their depth of pressure, are beneficial for your health.

Will I feel greasy after a massage?

No. I use a blended grapeseed oil for your massage, which is the lightest oil available for massage therapy and absorbs easily into the skin.

I use less oil during my sessions than most massage therapists. You should leave the session feeling lightly moisturized, but not greasy.

How will I feel the next day?

Depending on how deeply I work your muscles, you may feel sore for about a day. Many clients report feeling their best one to two days after the massage, once the techniques have had time to fully integrate with the body.

What is your cancellation policy?

24 hour notice is required when canceling a session. If an appointment is missed without 24 hour notice, the client will be billed for the full amount of the session.
